Richard Roane

At age 15, Richard Roane knew he wanted to
be a chef. Born and raised in Charlottesville
Virginia, it seems only fitting that he came
back to Virginia. He has been the Executive
Chef at the nearby Omni Hotel in Richmond
for the past eight months.Chef Richard
attended the Culinary Institute of the
South and apprenticed in France under the
renown Chef Didier Busnot. After his
extensive internship in France.
Chef Richard started his culinary career at
the infamous Boar's Head Inn in
Charlottesville.Since then he has worked in various four and five star hotels throughout the country and has cooked for
senators, governors and
even presidents.

When not in the kitchen, this Chef enjoys golf, gardening, landscaping and an occasional cigar. Chef Roane believes that in this occupation, every day is a challenge but thoroughly enjoys what he is doing. He said he can't help but wake up with a smile on his face, ready to serve the guests at the Omni Hotel
