Abraham Conlon
..Executive Chef, Augustine's, Fredericksburg sq
|
|
|
Chef Abraham Conlon knew at age 5 that he
wanted to be a chef! Born & raised in Lowell,
Mass., he started pursuing his lifelong dream
by attending the Culinary Institute of America.
After graduating from CIA he worked under
Chef Jon Matheison at the renown Silks
Restaurant located at the Stonehedge Inn in
Tyngsboro, Mass. From there he trained under
Chef Norman Van Aken at the Coral Gables
restaurant Norman’s. Opportunity knocked
again, this time in Santo Domingo.
Chef Abraham was off to the Dominican Republic
to work at Chez Asian Bistro.

When the Hotel Monaco in DC opened its
doors Chef Abraham was there to lend his
many talents to the Poste Moderne
Brasserie. In 2004 , Deborah & Van
Perroy, owners of the historic property
Fredericksburg Square , placed an ad in
the Washington Post hoping to find the
ideal person to be executive chef for their
finely appointed restaurant Augustine’s
and the beautiful banquet facilities at
Fredericksburg Square, both of which
were featured in National Restaurant News
& Virginia Living Magazine. Chef Conlon
was a perfect fit & the rest is history! When
not hard at work in the kitchen, Abraham
enjoys the great outdoors hiking and
occasionally traveling to DC for concerts!
