Chef “Sert” as he is called by his long list of loyal
customers, has presided over the Kitchen at the Warehouse Bar and Grill in Old Town Alexandria for 17 years. Starting years ago as a cook in Seattle, working at local favorites such as Carnegie’s and the Hilton at Mark Center, “Sert” has established himself as a chef more than capable of satisfying the palate of discriminating customers from all over the world.




Sensitive to the changing tastes of the diverse customer
base at the Warehouse Bar and Grill, “Sert” took his
ability to the next level by taking classes at the CIA in
1997. An active member of the American Culinary
Federation, “Sert” tells me with a ready smile that he
enjoys the camaraderie of other chefs in the area.

In his free time he enjoys tennis, with a chuckle, explaining that he prefers watching the game to playing.
