............eChef Gloria Galang- Hills, .Season Culinary Services at NEA, Washington DC

Chef Gloria grew up in the Philippines in a large family. She first learned her craft while caring for her siblings.
Her resume includes, The National Geographic Society, The Grand Hyatt Hotel, and five units managed by Season Culinary Services. She excels in Garde Manger, organization and presentation. “I always shop for the freshest ingredients according to our daily produce requirements and look for new and interesting items from the “Chef’s List”. My position allows me the personal attention to the details of ordering and the selection of the best produce available.

I can manage my weekly menu offerings, keeping cost in check and still add variety and seasonality to my menus. Cooking is about the customer. Wherever I have worked, I have adapted to the requirements of the customer. A big part of my knowledge and ability has come from the great people I have had the privilege of working with. I credit my husband for developing my interest in trying new things in the kitchen and being professional in my pursuits. I like to express my heritage in the dishes I serve and look for new ways to incorporate interesting ingredients in the foods my guests enjoy. My golden time is with my family, spending most weekends cooking for them, as I spend my weekdays cooking for my guests as family.

Seasons Culinary Services has honored me with responsibly and respect for the job I do. This goes a long way when remaining with an employer. I believe the company treats people, as they would wish to be treated. I count many friends and long time relationships with the entire Seasons Culinary Services management and crew.
